Welcome to picturesque Delaware County, home of the Walton Regional Livestock Show. Our show continues to grow each year and this year we have an exciting addition. Pig Roast – Friday, June 10, 2016, 7:00pm, Vendor Area – Sponsored by Jerry Stephens and the WRLS Committee.

The Walton Regional Livestock Show is an open class show for exhibitors of all ages, with a youth showmanship class. The Walton Regional Livestock Show is a multi-species show where exhibitors can exhibit beef cattle, sheep, swine, and goats.

Camper space is available on the grounds at a rate of $15 per night. Other limited accommodations are available in the area so book early.

There is a fee of $20/animal for entries postmarked by May 28th 2016. There is a $50/animal entry fee for late entries postmarked May 30-June 3, 2016. No entries will be accepted the day of the show.

Sheep will have their own ring.

Mission Statement

The Walton Regional Livestock Show was organized for charitable, educational and scientific purposes to encourage and promote the breeding, raising and marketing of better livestock and farm products and to promote and maintain research and educational functions within the area livestock and agricultural industry.

Schedule
  • Friday, June 10th 2016
    • Arrival Time: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (CVIs will be checked) - New for 2016 - No Saturday check-in
    • 7:00 pm Pig Roast for all exhibitors sponsored by Jerry Stephens and the WRLS Committee
    • 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm – Market animal weigh-in for beef, goats and sheep – swine will be weighed at unloading
  • Saturday, June 11th 2016
    • New for 2016 – All species will have a designated show ring
      • Ring 1 - Beef (Big Ring)
      • Ring 2 - Swine (Pig Ring)
      • Ring 3 - Meat Goats (New Ring TBD depending on numbers)
      • Ring 4 - Sheep (New Ring TBD depending on numbers)
    • Age Groups
      • Novice: 1st time showing
      • Junior: 8 - 11
      • Intermediate: 12 - 16
      • Senior: 17 - 22
    • Showmanship
      • 9:00 am - Goats
      • 9:00 am - Sheep
      • 9:00 am - Pigs
      • 9:00 am - Beef
        • Please note: Showmanship is not mandatory. The committee is not responsible for conflicts with other species for individuals showing in multiple classes. The superintendent will wait 5 minutes after the class has been called to start.
    • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Lunch / Chinese Auction (All exhibitors are encouraged to donate an item)
    • Approximately 1:00 pm - Breeding Classes (immediately following lunch break)
    • Market Classes - will follow breeding classes

      • Released when finished showing
      • Sheep and swine exhibitors, please clean your pens.
      • Beef and goats exhibitors, please pull bedding back away from tie rail for skid steer clean up
